CITIZENS PETITION DEADLINE- FRIDAY, MARCH 27- 10:00 AM
To place an article on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant, submit the form below to the Select Board's Office prior to the deadline.
Ten (10) certified signatures are required to submit a petition article for inclusion in the Annual Town Meeting warrant.
Petitioners are advised to gather more signatures than required to account for any that may be disqualified (i.e. non-registered voter, ineligible signature, etc.). The town also encourages petitioners to consult with an attorney to ensure the petitions wording is properly formatted for consideration by the town meeting. The article will appear on the Town Meeting Warrant EXACTLY as submitted, including spelling and punctuation.
VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE - FRIDAY, MAY 9 - 5:00 PM
In order to attend and act on articles of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant, you must be a registered voter in Somerset. Anyone who is not registered to vote in Somerset may attend the meeting with permission from the Town Moderator. Voter registration can be done online or in person at the Town Clerk's Office, or by printing the below Voter Registration form and returning to the Town Clerk's Office by the above deadline.
