The Town of Somerset was incorporated in 1790. Records of Births, Marriages, and Deaths are on file from 1790 to the present.
We should have certified copies of births that occurred in the State of Massachusetts if the parents of the child were Somerset residents at the time of birth and the parents signed the birth records indicating they wanted a resident copy to be sent to their home community.
Marriage records for persons who filed their Intention of Marriage paperwork are on file in our office.
Certified copies of death records are available for anyone who passed away in Somerset or whose residence at the time of death was here in Somerset.
