2021 SPECIAL TOWN ELECTION - DEBT EXCLUSION BALLOT QUESTION

DEBT EXCLUSION

There will be a Special Election for voters to consider a Debt Exclusion vote for the purpose of constructing a new middle school in the Town of Somerset.  

Date: Saturday, May 22, 2021

Place:  Somerset Berkley Regional High School

Polling Hours:  12:00 pm - 8:00 pm

LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE:  SATURDAY, MAY 1, 2021 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9:00 AM AND 8:00 PM  

Voter registration forms, absentee and vote by mail applications are available in the outdoor elevator lobby of the Town Office Building near the Town Clerk Drop Box.  All forms can be printed, signed and scanned and emailed to the Town Clerk at dberge@town.somerset.ma.us, or sent in by US Mail, or dropped in the large blue drop box in the Town Office parking lot.  The Town Office Building is currently closed to the public, therefore all registration forms must be submitted via email, US Mail, or the drop box.  Registration forms sent via US Mail must be postmarked not later than May 1, 2021.

New residents and persons not yet registered to vote, or voters needing to make registraton changes can also register on line at www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr

VOTE BY MAIL IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS ELECTION - Application deadline to receive a ballot to vote by mail is TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2021 AT 5:00 PM.  Any voters who have previously applied to vote by mail will receive a ballot for this Election through the mail.

Please note that 'VOTE BY MAIL" ballots are available through June 30, 2021, only and will not include the Special Election to be held on July 12.  Anyone unable to vote at the polling location must apply for an Absentee Ballot in order to vote by mail for July 12.
