Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets once a month in the first floor Hearing Room at the Town Office Building. Petitions for variances, special permits, planned developements, sign permits, etc. are filed in the Town Clerk’s Office. Petition applications, the Zoning Bylaw, and other required forms are available during regular office hours, or click on the links on the left.

The Building Inspector is the Zoning Enforcement Officer. All Zoning inquiries should first be directed to the Building Inspector who can be reached at 508-646-2805. Once a determination is made that Zoning action is required, all necessary forms must be submitted to the Office of the Town Clerk. Zoning meetings generally are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Petitions must be submitted not later than 12:00 NOON on the last Thursday of the month to be placed on the agenda for the following month.

It is the petitioner’s responsibility to obtain an abutters list from the Assessor’s Office and submit it  with your application.

RESIDENTIAL: $100
COMMERCIAL: $300

(The members of the Zoning Board are appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a term of three years)
