The billing for real estate taxes and personal property taxes are based on a fiscal year. Real estate taxes and personal property taxes are due in quarterly installments in August, November, February and May. You may pay six months of tax upon receiving your tax bill. Excise tax and boat excise bills are billed throughout the year. That billing is based on a calendar year.
Payments may be made via the internet. For your convenience a drop box is located in the parking lot of the Town Office building on the County Street side entrance.

Payments can be made using an electronic check (ACH) from a checking or savings account. You may also make payments using Visa®, MasterCard®, or Discover® Credit Card. Credit card restrictions apply.
The convenience fee to pay by ACH is $0.40 per bill. A service fee of 2.95% will be applied to all transactions with a minimum amount of $1.95 for credit cards and $0.40 for EFT/ACH payments. If you are using a Debit Card, it will be treated as a credit card payment and will have the same charges associated with credit card payments. Prices are subject to change without notice.
